Georgia Bruce and her horse Larundel Gameboy are aiming towards competing in selection trials which will be held in Toowoomba in June and then again in Tamworth in July this year. The selection trials will help selectors choose the Australian Para Equestrian Team to Represent Australia in Dressage at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky later this year.

Georgia and Larundel Gameboy travelled to Werribee in Victoria at the end of 2009 for the first round of selection trials. They performed well and consequently were placed on the Australian Para Equestrian Developement Squad.

Travelling to Selection Trials, Para Equestrian Squad Camps , as well as expenses associated with training and competing at a high level mean that Georgia needs to do alot of fundraising to help her cover expenses. If selected to go to Kentucky she will most likely need to fundraise to help cover expenses of flying Larundel Gameboy to Kentucky and back home again.

Les Whyee of Speewah has donated the proceeds of an original aboriginal artwork to go to Georgia to help with the fundraising. To assist in auctioning the painting Rita Galloway has produced a high quality promotional DVD to inform buyers about Georgia, Les, the Aboriginal Artist, and the Artwork itself.

Georgia would sincerely like to thank Les for donating the proceeds of the painting.

She would also like to send so many thanks to Rita Galloway from Majestic Spanish Horses for many hours spent editing the promotional DVD.

Rita's input has been invaluable and we really appreciate all her hard work!!!
Rita breeds beautiful Andalusian's at her stud Majestic Spanish Horses. Georgia has always been a fan of the Andalusian's and Rita's horses are definitely excellent examples of the breed.
One of her progeny 'El Bailador Bragado'recently won Supreme Andalusian Exhibit at the Melbourne Royal Horse Show. Congratulations !!!!

For their extensive support and encouragement Georgia would like to thank Colin, Colleen and Celeste Jackson. The Jackson's have been a driving force behind fundraising and supporting Georgia's international competition career. Les Whyee and the Jackson family are the most wonderful supporters of Georgia. Without their help Georgia may not have even made it to the 2008 Paralympic Games, but Les together with Colin Jackson(who at the time he had a severely broken leg!) came to the rescue and they managed to raise enough funds to help get Georgia to Hong Kong. Luckily Georgia managed to bring home to bronze medals to show them their efforts had been worth it!!!!

Georgia also is extremely grateful to the Jackson family for allowing her the use of their beautiful dressage arena at their home Woodland Park in Speewah.

Equestrian events are not cheap...it would be nice to be a swimmer, throw into a bag your bathers, a towel and your goggles and away you go! Instead as an equestrian competitor it costs many, many thousands of dollars just to get to an event. Georgia travelled 10,000kms last year getting to selection trials alone!

So if you would like to assist Georgia in getting to selection trials for Kentucky please email Georgia here.
